Dear Friends and Family,

Thank you so much for staying connected with us through prayer, encouragement, and love! We are deeply grateful for each of you and for the way God knits us together as one body in Christ.  Our last update was October 2025, so allow me to begin with "Happy New Year!"

David's 10th Birthday!
David's 10th Birthday!

We want to share a few family updates and praises with you. First, we are celebrating that David just turned 10 years old! We are overflowing with gratitude for the countless precious memories we’ve already made with him and for the joy he brings into our lives every day! He is creative, focussed, and delights in brightening up people's days! Pray with us that he will continue to grow into a man of God!

Jonathan recently started a new “job” of sorts — helping provide child support after school until a parent gets home. We’re thankful for this opportunity for him to grow in responsibility and service! Jonathan has a heart of gold and wrote the most beautiful birthday card to David, telling David to find ways to flourish in life and not to be held back by fears or failures. Join us in praying that Jonathan's love and character may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight!

Melanie was blessed to enjoy meaningful time with her parents and our family on a recent transatlantic cruise and over Christmas. It was her father's first cruise and Melanie's mom wanted to spend time with her daughter after a difficult year of health. Phil took an unpaid leave of absence to join our family at this meaningful time. We thank God for the privilege we have to invest in family and to cherish these moments together! Please continue to pray for our parents' health and for us to make the most of every opportunity.

On a personal note, Phil broke his toe this past week playing soccer. 🙄 David and I were doing dribbling drills in our basement and I kicked the couch trying to finesse the ball. We value your prayers as it heals and for God’s continued grace in the midst of everyday opportunities and challenges.

Please continue to pray with us for our church family. We are witnessing God do wonderful things — lives being touched, people being baptized, and testimonies of His power at work. At the same time, many are expressing a deep spirit of heaviness. We are doing a sermon series on “Revival” this January, and we invite you to join us in praying that God would fan into flame our spiritual fires, renewing hearts and refreshing faith! May we shine brightly as a light in what can feel like a dreary and parched land.  As Psalm 63:1-5 says,

"You, God, are my God, earnestly I seek you; I thirst for you, my whole being longs for you, in a dry and parched land where there is no water. I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory. Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you. I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands. I will be fully satisfied as with the richest of foods; with singing lips my mouth will praise you."

Thank you again for walking with us, praying with us, and believing with us for all that God is doing and will continue to do. You are precious to us and we always love to hear from you and about you! Until we connect again, may the God of all comfort, grace, and peace be with you!

With grateful hearts,

Phil, Melanie, Jonathan, & David Styles
