Hi family and friends!
When we last connected with you in February 2020, who would have thought that soon after the whole world would be in a Covid-19 shutdown? We thank you for your love and want to share our family prayer requests in 4 easy steps.

I asked Jonathan what he would want prayer for. He said, “Ask people to pray for the virus to be gone!” He is referring to Covid-19. Would you honour his request? As an aside, as we are in isolation Jonathan is doing schooling at home and Jonathan just learned how to bike without training wheel support! I was so proud of him and we've taken a few "long" bike rides together recently!

After Jonathan gave his answer it was Melanie’s turn. She shared: “I (Melanie) am very sad to share with people that I am about to have another miscarriage. I am pregnant (about 9 weeks with twins). After a series of ultra sounds the doctor informed me last Friday that the babies have stopped growing and there is no longer any heartbeat.” With Mother’s Day this coming week, we know these will be difficult days for Melanie and our family. Melanie would appreciate your prayers and support. As an aside, Melanie is still employed at the Kawartha Lakes Pregnancy Centre as the Executive Director and the needs of pregnant moms are quite urgent in these days of isolation and limited support. This is not an appeal, but if you would like to honour Melanie’s ministry that helps other ladies in their times of stress, grief, or great joy you can make a donation HERE (https://www.canadahelps.org/en/dn/8838).

Well, around our family table we moved next to David. With the most tender eyes he said in his adorable 4-year old voice, “Ask people to pray and ask Jesus to give mommy a little baby.” Then he went on with a list of specific requirements of the baby… He wants to be a BIG brother! As an aside, David is definitely stir-crazy being in isolation. He misses his friends, extended family, and the parks!
Then it was Daddy’s turn. Looking slowly around the table at my family, I had one thought come to my mind, “Thank you God for my family!” Please pray for us to grow in our love of God more and more as we explore what God has in store for us. Thank you. As an aside, I, Phil, am still employed at Cambridge Street Baptist Church. If you don’t mind whispering a prayer for us as we minister online in messages and serve one another in love we would be most grateful! Well, thank you for taking a few minutes of your precious time to invest in our lives and our journey of faith. We value you and treasure the fact that we know you. We pray that God will protect you and your family in the days to come and will bless you with the joy of His presence!
As virtual hugs are the new “normal”, we invite you to wrap your arms around yourself … Come on! Participate with us! … On 3 we’ll squeeze! Ready? 1… 2… 3… SQUEEEEZE! Ah, we love you! We’ll be in touch again in a couple of months!

Phil, Melanie, Jonathan, and David Styles
